Description
In creating this painting I aimed to infuse the historical black and white images of Rabbi Levi Yitzchok Schneersohn with vibrant, acrylic colors, capturing the essence of a soul that lived with undeniable vibrancy and zest, despite his demise in exile in 1944. This artwork, now in a limited print edition, seeks to break the bounds of monochrome, bringing to light the Rebbe’s father’s colorful legacy and spiritual vitality. It’s an attempt to showcase his enduring spirit and dedication to Chassidus in a visually engaging manner that resonates with the warmth and depth of his teachings. Through this piece, I hope to offer a visual tribute that reflects the profound impact and spirited life of Rabbi Levi Yitzchak, adding a new dimension to his remembrance and honoring his significant contributions with a palette as rich and enduring as his legacy.
